“Summer” in March – behind the scenes

I just had to share this with my fans – to realize what sometimes we do to get the look we have to. It was a freezing high 30ies in NY the day we were supposed to shoot a summer editorial. All my gorgeous models for this shoot were ages 4-8, wore absolutely stunning feathery dresses and head pieces worth fighting for! πŸ™‚

Our princesses didn’t look much like royalty in their puffy jackets over the pretties, or wrapped in big soft blankets to keep warm, more like little sparrows, gathering ’round the two heaters we brought in to the barn, which was also the changing room.

The true beauty will be unveiled in Issue 5 of Babiekins Magazine, and for now – here’s a little look behind the scenes of this wickedly amazing shoot.

Behind The Scenes (Babiekins Issue 5)

It’s been almost a month since I organized a large shoot for Babiekins Magazine the first week of March. While I still have to restrain myself and be super patient until the issue comes out on May 2nd, I can show a couple of images I was able to snap while kids were getting ready for me (I had z e r o time once they were groomed and dressed, hence just these few images).

Loved working with all the munchkins πŸ™‚ A gorgeous and awesome kiddie crowd I had!

A post out of order !

Well, I was really hoping to get 2 posts in before this one, but I could wait no more… Having had so many children in the latest editorial, it was very difficult to pick a photo for a sneak peek. So after careful consideration and to make it a little easier for everyone I am posting an image of Alex. πŸ™‚ Babiekins issue with my feature will be out May 2nd, so I am trying to be patient. I am so itching to show off more, unfortunately can’t do it just yet.

I do promise to keep you entertained with my following posts on ENK (including Vogue Bambini Fashion Show) and Playtime NYC coverage πŸ™‚

A new beginning

I have walked this road, long and winding, often leaving me lost in places I felt I could not Β find the way back home. And just when I thought I was in the middle of nowhere and no rescue seen in sight, I saw the light. Now starts a new chapter in my life – blogging, and I am happy to be able to share it with all of you.

I have been thinking about re-branding my photography business for some time, and I have finally took the plunge. Candy Kid Photo is here! I hope to make this journey fun for my clients, friends and fans. Today is a super day to post some of the photos I shot for an editorial for Issue #4 of Babiekins Magazine that was published yesterday.

I hope you like these as much as I do, they always bring a big smile to my face when I look at them.
