I had a very special guest in my studio recently. This beauty has recently turned 16, and asked her Mom book a shoot with yours truly. We at Candy Kid Photography were super excited to meet the amazingly talented Miss D. Oh, did I mention this young lady signs like a bird and donates her time and talent to charities around NYC? 🙂 Yes, Met Opera selects awesome talent!
A little sneak peek, before I have the permission to unveil the absolutely stunning Sweet 16th gown images.
I had the pleasure of working on beautiful Miss A’s comp card shoot, and this was one of my favorite images from the shoot. The depth of her blue eyes, the content and calm look on her beautiful face. Peaceful. Timeless.
I have recently been commissioned by Sara, the owner and mastermind of Grass & Clovers to shoot her Spring 2013 line. Looking at these photos on this cold January day made me feel warm and cozy. I just need to keep reminding myself – Spring is right around the corner! Happy Friday everyone!
I have had a pleasure of working with S girls about a year ago on a funky and elaborate shoot, so when their Mom called and asked if I was available for the kids’ headshots, I made sure I got time to put them in for a session.
These gorgeous kids have been an absolute pleasure to work with, and we were done rather quickly, but just spending a bit of time with them had kept me going through the weekend. What an amazing bunch!!! 🙂
the weather is finally getting milder and we had a nice few hours outside, where my lovely daughter insisted on practicing her hand stand 🙂
my lil’ monkey in action 🙂
I just had to share this with my fans – to realize what sometimes we do to get the look we have to. It was a freezing high 30ies in NY the day we were supposed to shoot a summer editorial. All my gorgeous models for this shoot were ages 4-8, wore absolutely stunning feathery dresses and head pieces worth fighting for! 🙂
Our princesses didn’t look much like royalty in their puffy jackets over the pretties, or wrapped in big soft blankets to keep warm, more like little sparrows, gathering ’round the two heaters we brought in to the barn, which was also the changing room.
The true beauty will be unveiled in Issue 5 of Babiekins Magazine, and for now – here’s a little look behind the scenes of this wickedly amazing shoot.
Mother’s Day is only a few weeks away, and there’s no need to tell us (the grownup kids of Moms), that there’s nothing our Moms like than some gorgeous photos of their little grand-munchkins.
Book your sessions now to receive prints and other amazing products in time for Mother’s Day (remember, for certain custom wall art and books/albums it takes up to 2 weeks to be delivered from the day they are ordered).
